Kumon Maths on Monday's and Wednesday's

The local Kumon study centre in Stroud is helping its students to develop into confident, independent learners and to help them achieve their full potential as individuals.

With 60 years of experience, the Kumon Maths and English Programmes enable children to take on new challenges with confidence and to develop their study skills.

The Kumon Stroud Study Centre is located at The Pavilion in the Park, Lower Church Road, Church Road, GL5 4JE, with classes running on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Start point: CRANHAM. PARK ON THE ROAD ON THE COMMON NEAR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL SO 893 126 W3W /// FLOTATION.MANIFESTS.OUTINGS

A circular walk from Cranham. The first part takes in some of the ancient woodland of the Cotswolds Commons and Beechwoods National Nature reserve. After exiting the woodland the second part of the walk affords a fine view of Cranham village and church across the upper Painswick Stream valley

 

Friday, 17th May, 2024 – Start: 10:00 am

Difficulty: MODERATE Duration: 3 HOURS Distance: 4.5 MILES

Start point: WAR MEMORIAL IN PRESTBURY AT JUNCTION OF HIGH STREET AND THE BANK

A steady climb to a beautiful area of limestone grassland on the scarp slope adjoining Cleeve Common with great views across the Severn vale. The area is particularly managed to encourage butterflies and weather permitting there may be an opportunity to see the Duke of Burgundy amongst others.

Start point: CAR PARK NEAR ASTON DOWN GLIDING CLUB. GL68HR

A circular walk from Aston Down, near Chalford. We walk to Daneway, near Sapperton and back.

 

Saturday, 1st June, 2024 – Start: 10:00 am

Difficulty: EASY Duration: 1.5 HOURS Distance: 2 MILES

Start point: THE BIG LAYBY WHERE THE A435 MEETS THE A436 AT SEVEN SPRINGS NEAR THE TWIN ROUNDABOUTS

Bring the children and come and see how many wildflowers you can find as we explore Ravensgate Common.
Bring snacks and drinks and a pencil so you can tick the flowers off on our identifier page.
All children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

 

Thursday, 20th June, 2024 – Start: 7:00 pm

Difficulty: EASY Duration: 2.5 HOURS Distance: 5 MILES

Start point: AT THE JUNCTION OF THE LIMES AND HIGH STREET, BADMINTON.

An evening stroll from Badminton village to Little Badminton and back through the Badminton Park Estate.

 

Wednesday, 26th June, 2024 – Start: 10:00 am

Difficulty: MODERATE Duration: 3 HOURS Distance: 6 MILES

Start point: MISERDEN TREE SHELTER. MISERDEN IS SIGNPOSTED FROM THE B4070 BIRDLIP TO STROUD ROAD.

A walk from Miserden mainly along country lanes with wide ranging views to Duntisbourne Abbots.
We return along lanes and country roads through Winstone and through the Miserden estate.

 

Tuesday, 18th June, 2024 – Start: 9:30 am

Difficulty: MODERATE Duration: 3 HOURS Distance: 6 MILES

Start point: MEET ALONG THE ROAD EAST OF BIRDLIP SCHOOL.

From Birdlip village, downhill to Great Witcombe, following a part of Roman Ermin Street to the church, reservoir and the site of a Roman Villa. We use 2 sections of the Cotswold Way.
